One Profile to Rule Them All

Your users’ digital lives are fragmented. A profile on TikTok, another on Telegram, and separate wallets for every dApp create friction and siloed value. Refract Network unifies this experience. With Refract AnyAuth, users can link multiple social accounts to a single, universal Refract Passport. Their assets, achievements, and social graph are no longer locked to a single platform; they’re part of a persistent identity that travels with them across every dApp and every chain in the Refract ecosystem.

The zkMPC Self-Custody Guarantee

True ownership means you’re always in control. We achieve this with our state-of-the-art Refract zkMPC Wallet Protocol, built on the battle-tested CGGMP-24 cryptographic scheme. Instead of a single private key that can be lost or stolen, we split the user’s key into three encrypted “shards.” To sign a transaction, at least two shards must work together. This means no single point of failure.

  • The Client Shard (xC): Lives securely on the user’s device, managed by the Refract Passport application. This is the key that proves user intent.
  • The Enclave Shard (xS): Protected within the Refract zkMPC Enclave Wallet Infrastructure, a tamper-proof hardware environment powered by AWS Nitro.
  • The Recovery Shard (xR): An Argon2-encrypted shard that the user can back up to a location of their choice (e.g., cloud storage, personal device). This is their ultimate guarantee of access.

Unbreakable Security, Effortless Recovery

The Enclave Shard is sealed in its TEE. This design makes it cryptographically impossible for anyone—including our own engineers—to access it. But what happens if a user loses their device containing the Client Shard?

This is where the power of our architecture shines. The user can combine their new device’s Client Shard with their personally-held Recovery Shard to regain full access to their wallet.

The Self-Custody Promise, Delivered: With the Client Shard and the user-controlled Recovery Shard, a wallet can be fully recovered and operated completely offline, without ever needing to connect to Refract’s servers. This isn’t just a feature; it’s the ultimate guarantee of user sovereignty and control.
