When a new user clicks this link, Refract’s backend logs the referral event, creating a direct link between the referrer and the new user in the social graph before seamlessly onboarding them into the dApp.

The “dApp-in-Bio” concept is a primary distribution strategy, particularly for influencer-based marketing on platforms like TikTok. It allows creators and projects to place a single, powerful Magic dApp Link in their social media profile.

  • For Influencers: A creator can put a link in their TikTok bio that leads directly to a partner dApp. They are incentivized to do so because every user who onboards through their link is tracked, and they can receive automated, on-chain rewards for their referrals.
